Whew! It’s been a few days since I have written, because I have not had access to my computer. Now I must say, this is about to get kind of personal, but I think it is important to open up and share how important our mental health is.
I have daddy issues. Is it me? Is it him? Who knows. All I know is that no matter how someone talks to me, I cannot let the words hurt me. Remember; bad things said to others is a reflection of your own insecurities. A lot has happened over the past few days. From getting kicked out abruptly from my own living quarters to my Father being admitted to the hospital to the long hours of my full-time career, it has been “interesting”.
Now, my Father has taken care of me all my life, however not really been there as a Father if that makes sense. I always felt closer to my Mother and she is my best friend to this day; God Bless you Mom, I love you. I love you too Father, even when we say mean things to each other when we’re mad at one another. Regardless of how heated our arguments get, you will always be my Dad.
Dear readers and writers, if you have mental health issues, do not hesitate to contact someone you trust. It is better to talk about it then hide in your own head, scared and alone. You always have someone to talk to. I suffer from my own mental health issues, as I’m sure a lot of people do, but that doesn’t define who we are. We are only human.
My Dad tried to take his life. I know this is personal but I feel the need to share. If you EVER have suicidal thoughts, please please PLEASE reach out! Reach out to me, even. We’re all strangers but deep deep down we are really interconnected with one another. We are ONE. I have had suicidal thoughts many times, years ago. Luckily I got past that. I must say, I am so glad to be alive today at this most crucial time on the planet.
I just want to say that you are loved, you are cared for, you are special and you are beautiful. You are perfect the way you are and do not let anyone tell you otherwise. Do not give away your power to anyone. You take that Crown, place it on your head and wear it proudly, because that is what you are, Royalty to Planet Earth, to US, to WE.
